Please agree in prayer with me for successful rest (which I’m getting lots of), plus restored strength, energy and stamina. Extreme fatigue is a serious problem right now, which is why I haven’t been writing — not able to sit at the computer for more than a few minutes at a time. Prayer needs still include relief of intestinal side effects, plus the fatigue.
Still trying to drink enough water and eat small meals on a regular basis, but I’ve completely lost my sweet tooth – that’s not a bad thing, actually. Never thought I’d like Rice Krispies or Corn Flakes without sugar!
Dr. Bajaj said low BP contributed to severe fatigue after last chemotherapy so he took me off all BP meds except 1/2 of a Tenormin, which controls my longstanding tachycardia. He also said although my WBC’s are almost back to normal, RBC’s and hemoglobin are still going down and may decrease more before improving again – i.e., anemia, which also contributes to fatigue. Just said to get lots of rest and not do anything strenuous (like I could).
Had another chemo treatment Wednesday and have been sleeping off and on for most of the time since Friday, until today. I’d watch the first half of a TV show, then sleep through the last half! I do feel a little better this morning, hence this update.
I really appreciate your prayers, and all the help that has been offered and extended. Shelby gets most of the thanks for taking good care of me.
BTW – I told Dr. Bajaj that every time I see a loose hair, I think “dead cancer cell.” He thought that was very good. I told him he should write that down in my chart. I still have a few little strands on top of my head… expect them to go soon.
More later, hopefully.
