The fever went away after three days, leaving me feeling as before it started – a bit weak, shaky, little energy, but still no sign of what caused the fever. Friday night I slept nearly seven hours, waking up Saturday feeling far, far better — enough that for several hours Saturday and Sunday mornings I cleaned out kitchen shelves and cabinets, throwing away lots of old stuff. I would work for 10 minutes, sit down and rest for 10 minutes, but it felt really good to be able to do it.
Sunday afternoon a friend came and took me over to her home for lunch, which was great fun. Then we browsed through Dollar General for a few items before returning me home. It was the first time in a while that I had enough strength and stamina to walk more than ten feet without sitting down.
The next chemotherapy series (Taxotere) of four begins on Tuesday, May 10th and will be three weeks apart. I am praying that side effects will not be such a problem with this medication.
I really appreciate everyone’s prayers, and ask you to continue.

Hi Bette,
I’ve been reading your posts to keep up with how you are doing. I must say it sounds like it’s been really tough for you. I’m still praying for you when you come to mind and you do several times a week.
Love,
Terry
